Jason A. Hobson is an experienced real estate and business attorney, with a unique blend of legal and industry-specific knowledge.  Jason brings his experience as in-house counsel for a national company and an attorney for an international law firm to his representation of large and small companies engaged in real estate and business ventures across the United States and abroad.

Jason routinely advises clients in public-private partnerships, including the acquisition and financing of real estate projects throughout the United States, including affordable, mixed-use developments which utilize Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax-Exempt Bonds, New Market Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, Solar Tax Credits, HUD/FHA financing, PACE Bonds and/or other public programs. Most of the developments which Jason provides assistance involve numerous layers of complex, subordinate debt and regulatory requirements. Jason also routinely advises clients on commercial real estate project and corporate matters involving significant real estate assets. Jason also represents the interests of community banks.

Jason also represents private equity funds, investors and syndicators of tax credits, as well as non-profit organizations, for-profit developers and public agencies. Jason was previously senior legal counsel and an officer of a national tax credit syndicator engaged in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, Historic Tax Credit and Solar Tax Credit equity investments throughout the United States. Jason was also previously a senior attorney with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP. In addition to his affordable housing practice, Jason is an officer and board member of Synergy Community Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation engaged in the preservation and development of affordable housing throughout the United States.  In May 2012, Jason was appointed by the California Public Utilities Commission to serve on its Low Income Oversight Board.

Jason is a native Angeleno, a 5-time finisher of the Ironman Triathlon and a Jedi Knight.
